The Voyage Of Discovery

There is a profound magic that unfolds when you open your senses and walk through life with a fresh new set of eyes. It was one of those fleeting days where the sun peeked intermittently through the clouds and a gentle breeze swept across the landscape.

 

Before me, a beautiful flower was graciously swaying, locked in a poetic dance all of its own. I stood there in absolute awe, but I knew the constant movement would make a sharp, traditional macro shot nearly impossible-inspiring the unique vision behind , "The Voyage of Discovery", this captivating fine art macro photography print.

 

Embracing the motion, I decided to take off my macro lens and step into my creative vision, putting on my artistic Lensbaby soft-focus lens to beautifully capture the rhythm of the floral dance. No sooner had I changed my lens when a striking yellow and black ladybug wandered directly onto a leaf right in the midst of the blossom.

 

I always feel an immense wave of joy when a lovely little creature appears out of nowhere during a shoot, but this tiny visitor was extra special. It felt as though she was on her very own epic journey, acting like a total star and proudly hamming it up for the camera through the entire session.

 

When we finished, I thanked her kindly for her time before we parted ways. Thus, "The Voyage of Discovery," was born.
