The Zinnia Sea of Remembrance

While out for a stroll through the beautiful, flower beds of Grandmother’s Garden last summer, I came upon a breathtaking expanse of common zinnias.

 

Setting up my composition and looking through the camera viewfinder, I felt as though I was overlooking a boundless sea of wondrous beauty,

I immediately felt a sense of optimism and joy.

Zinnias are deeply woven with the symbolism of remembrance, traditionally offered to loved ones separated by time or distance, or given as a meaningful parting gift.

 

The brilliant yellow hues within this blossom specifically speak of hope and cheerfulness, bridging the gap between memory and tomorrow.
